While starting on a strange foot with fans, Marvel Avengers has had a bit of a renaissance as of late. With the addition of new characters, and seeing a renewed lease on life with its release on Xbox Game Pass, players are coming to terms that while it may not be the perfect superhero game, it’s a fun one under the hood.
You’ll be able to take control of a handful of different heroes, gain new loot, fight baddies, and more while you make your way through the story mode with friends or solo. Being able to be in control of these iconic heroes is a good time, especially if you’re looking for a fun way to blow off some steam. Let’s take a look at the most recent patch, which was deployed today for the game.
Marvel Avengers Patch 1.66 – June 7
Fixes:
- Captain America’s had his vision checked. Captain America players no longer see black spheres when throwing his shield while using either Pym or Vibranium perks.
- Event objectives where players need to “Hit enemies” have been updated to note the fact that defeating those enemies provides bonus progress against the objective.
- Updated some Ms. Marvel perks that were sharing the same name.
- Other miscellaneous fixes and improvements.
- Added general stability fixes.
- Added performance improvements.
- Addressed rewards related issues.
- Fixed various game crashing bugs.
- Other minor bug fixes.
While not the most comprehensive patch that has been put out for the game, it seems to take care of some visual glitches that Captain America players were experiencing while they were in the game, alongside a few other small fixes to help make the game feel more complete. If you haven’t tried the game, it’s worth a shot, as you’ll find a gorgeous title that is fun in short bursts, as long as you’re ready for a little bit of button mashing.
It does seem that the devs are paying attention to the woes of the players, and are continuing to add in new characters, as well as reworked events. PlayStation gamers that are still in the game have had exclusive access to Spider-Man for quite some time now, and it looks as if we may need to wait a little longer before we get the full 2022 roadmap, but you’ll still find plenty of things getting worked out as the game continues to grow.
Marvel’s Avengers is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia.
